Because I have problems with cellulitis, my doctor gave me a large pump container of a cream called Diprobase. It's helped me a lot.

I apply Aqueous cream to my legs every night...its helps keeps my legs moisturised and stops them drying out ...and I get no itchiness at all...so find a good moisturising cream preferably odourless..... some creams can damage compression stockings if you wear them...so it is a good idea to apply any creams at night ...that way it soaks in and doesn't damage stockings

Don't be tempted to use any hard or sharp object to scratch the itch. It might be worth trying to stroke - very, very gently - the affected area with a clean balled-up cotton sock.

I use Epaderm (an emulsifying waxy cream) which I get on prescription. Various size of tubs - mine is 500g. It is readily available in pharmacies. One tub lasts around a month. Some people get fibrosis - a hardening of the skin. I have LE in my legs and feet. Rubbing them carefully all over - including the soles! - with the waxy cream helps identify and deal with the fibrosis.

When applying the cream, I keep my feet on an old clean towel and keep a damp flannel to hand. And I keep the Farrow long stockings to hand so that I can put them on immediately. If wax does get on clothes or bedclothes or carpet, it comes off easily. You will need a flannel when you shower to get the wax off.

Best of luck!

Fairly new to this and hesitate to advise but for itch and/or aftersun pure aloe vera works for me. I have the plants but you can buy it in health food shops like Holland & Barrett.

Good luck

I douse myself in aqueous cream before putting the sleeve on every morning. I don't seem to have any problems with it reacting with the sleeve. Sometimes have slight itchiness when I take the sleeve off at night but a gentle rub up and down the arm does the trick

I use Cetraben cream and get it on prescription for the larger tub with pump on top as it's cheaper on prescription than buying from chemist. I usually slap it on my legs and feet just before going to bed as I have trouble keeping my stockings up if I do it in the morning. I do syphon some into a small bottle with a lockable pump on it and keep it in my bag for during the day although for my hands and arms not my legs. My legs can get very dry and sore if I don't use the cream for a few days and the skin on the front of my shins can actually crack in places if I'm not careful - when this happens I use Sudocrem and cover with a dressing. Sometimes a cold wet flannel placed on the itchy bits can help calm it down too to avoid scratching

I use aqueous cream all over to shower in and then apply doublebase gel all over after towelling. My skin is lovely and soft and no more itchiness. Good luck.
